One of my most favorite knives is this one:

A dirt cheap little kitchen knife. Have used it everywhere from the kitchen, the garden to camping trips. So decided to make a something similar with some slight changes on Sunday.

This is the first time I have used D2. Was given to me by a buddy. HT was trickier than the normal steels I use but after some research I followed the most repeated recommended procedure in my Controlled HT oven, heating up 750 C then soaking for 15 Min and then ramping up to 980 C for oil quench and am really impressed with this steel. Will be using more of it in the future.

Thoughts and crit wecome

OAL = 200mm
Cutting edge = 93mm
Blade = 100mm x 24mm x 5mm with distal taper

Cheers
Tim

Very nice indeed Tim, i'm a sucker for sharp and pointy B&T design blades and that is right up my street, is that lovely bit of timber wild olive?
