Costa Rica?

Am looking at a 2/3 week trip to Costa Rica in 3/4 months. Probably not under canvas (but won't rule this out completely).

Any suggestions or recommendations for must-sees, must-dos, must-avoids whilst there? Also accommodation/trip/tour suggestions very welcome.

Take your malaria tablets and don't take any chances with ANY water. The amount of provisions you can get into a car boot, would massively increase your options. Have you thought of renting a 4x4. Think of it as, your pack mule, dog team.
You will need to be aware of the wildlife. Snakes and Pumas and most of all the insects. Oh the insects. There are things that will hunt YOU.
The jungle is awesome, just be aware. Hope you have a great time.
