Hi....this was made for a dude named Ashley whom I met on the circuit...we had discussed it previously and then he came to see me at Bentley Wood Fair and brought the knife along for me to bring home with me..

Here's the information concerning it that he sent me by email:

''The knife is London made by Underwoods, The Haymarket, it features in the London Knife Makers book by Ron Flook. Original scabbard has an ink written inscription "to Captain Steven Mitchell 1st Fife and Forfar Yeomanry'

Captain Steven Mitchell (1884 - 1951)
Saw service in the First World War and was High Sheriff of Gloucester 1945 - 1946.''

Its not to my personal taste, but looks like a very fine piece with a great history. Looking very smart in its new clothes, I might add!

You've done it proud, Sonni.........I think that's one of the nicest sheaths I've seen, that knife was just begging to meet that sheath. Superb work as always mate :)
