today i was in Eastbourne and it wasnt long before i was getting bored of the airbourne air show so i decided to go for a wander to see what i could find
sea kale
anybody know this plant with the beans?
rock samphire
i found this real gem, water pouring out the cliff like a tap! it tasted really fresh and not at all salty. i had a bit of a survivorman moment, taking my fill and thinking how grateful you would feel to find something like this if you where stranded (im guessing it was ok to drink, well i felt ok afterwards)
sea beat
close up
there is allot of iron pyrites about
i was surprised to find black berries growing so close to the shore, yum yum
rock samphire anyone?
the lighthouse at beachy head in the distance
i went up above the cliffs at cow gap because the tide was getting pretty high. i walked past this bush then thought 'wait a sec, that looks a bit like apple!'
i was right i ate one and it tasted just like a cox, i guess cores where thrown aside by picnickers many moons ago.
the trek back to Eastbourne
the red arrows came and said hello
rose hips but too early
yet another apple
sloes and blackberries
damsons
they seems to be an odd shape
other damsons or maby bullaces. these tasted a bit sour yet sweeter than the others
this fig tree caught my eye as i walked back into town
not a bad day
thanks for looking
