The only thing i can come up with is to have the staines absorbed. Like using paper, talk or any absorbent stuff on the coat. Before doing so warm the coat up with a hairdrier, rewax after you've removed the staines.

Lost in the woods
I have a Blacks wax jacket called the game keeper, had it 20 years.
I have not washed it ever, it's nice and smelly, gun oil rabbits the outdoors.
It's an old friend.
Looks like you will soon have an old friend to.

I'll second sending it back to Barbour.
A few years ago I went out fishing when I was staying with the in-laws, when I got back I hung up my treasured old Barbour Solway to dry in their garage.
It had nicely aged, lost it's new shine, and developed a nice "patina".
Unfortunately the mother in law (without asking, but I'll admit she meant well) got hold of it & decided to re-wax it for me. She used some disgusting cheap crappy stuff, and absolutely daubed it on. Totally ruined my lovely jacket.
I sent it back to Barbour, they stripped all the wax off, re-waxed it properly, and while they had it they repaired a tear in the lining, and added an extra chest pocket for me.
It came back looking like new, not like it was before (nicely aged), but at least like a new Barbour.
I can't remember the price, it was a few years ago, but it was stonking value, and top quality work.
