Chinese Hawthorn berry sweets

A Chinese colleague of mine just came back from Beijing and brought back a bunch of sweets - amongst them was these

Made from chinese hawthorn jelly wrapped in sugar.

Prett good! Nice to see hawthorn being used in places commercially. Not sure how chinese hawthorn differs to ours though.

I like the haw flakes; we get them in the Chinese supermarket. They're quite good dissolved in hot water and that used for tea.
