Amazon.co.uk have just notified me they are selling the new Ray Mears book if you order it before release date for £11.98 a 40% saving.

Do we know the contents of the book ?
Are we to expect a Richard Mabey or a Richard Madeley; that is, a useful field guide or a pretty travelogue ?

To answer my own question with a quote from the authors (p113), detail will follow in "a comprehensive field guide that we are currently preparing."

Personally I hope it's more travelogue than field guide with some fieldy stuff thrown in. I like to read rather than study facts and figures.

I'd been hoping for something slightly more practical; although it is an interesting reference.

Try ASDA - I picked up a copy for £11.87 a couple of weeks ago. Nice book - very in keeping with the series.
