I was going to put my Cegga axe for sale in the classifieds but then I thought I could make it bit more interesting and raise a bit of money for a good cause at the same time.
I would have hoped to fetch £45 for the axe in a straight forward sale, if everything goes to plan and you guys are generous with your donations, any proceeds raised beyond £45 will all go to Help for Heroes as a gift from the BCUK community.
The way I hope this will work then ..
> Each ticket will cost £5 and will be payable to me as a Paypal gift or cheque.
> Unlimited purchases per person
> Donations can exceed the minimum of £5 but please don't feel any pressure to do this.
> Purchases will be made by simply adding your name to the numbered list and then dropping me a PM for payment details.
> You can choose any numbers you like, just make sure you amend the list to show this.
> If you don't wish to participate in the raffle to win the axe, I will still gladly accept any donations.
I will make the draw on Christmas Day and announce the winner in this thread, I'll also send a PM to the lucky so and so
So this is a chance to get your hands on a very much sought after piece of craftsmanship by our own Cegga for as little as just £5.
So here it is then ...
A couple of things I'd like to say ...
> Tony has given me his permission to run this and I'm very grateful for the opportunity. He and his team also have the right to put the stoppers on this for any reason.
> Help for Heroes is a charity that is close to my heart for a number of reasons. If you have and grievances against H4H or the ethics of what I'm doing then feel free to drop me a PM rather than airing your concerns on this thread.
So guys please dig deep, help me try to make a difference to those who have been affected by injury or have been left behind by our brave sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, fathers and mothers.
Christmas can be an extraordinarily difficult time for young families have have lost a loved one, let's try and make that suffering a little bit easier if we can.
If the numbers make it past 100 I'll throw in a second prize and draw another number.
