Evening all, I've been struggling to find a site which has a proper selection of Frosts carving and crook knives. I'd like to get the bits I need in one hit to avoid 3 or 4 different postages, so if anyone has some good links for me to look at, it would be much appreciated. Many thanks, guys.
Will.

woodland craft supplies here http://www.fxferry.demon.co.uk/ is a nice chap and reasonable rates. Do you know which models you want? My favourite for carving is the 106 narrow blade sloyd which comes scandi ground about 25 degrees without a secondary bevel.

Personally I would only buy a frost hook if you are comfortable tuning tools yourself, they need quite a bit of grinding to get them working well. Svante Djarve hooks are OK or my personel preference is for Bo Helgesson, in a class of their own. Woodland craft supplies are going to have them, I keep a few in for folks who do courses and could sort you one if you can't get it elsewhere. Frosts is cheaper though a good hook costs £30.

The other option is www.pinewoodforge.com Del Stubbs does very very nice knives, his hooks are second only to Helgesse and his sloyd knife is the best I have found. Very reasonable at the moment thanks to the weak US$

Thought I'd let you good folks know what i settled on. The Axminster link looked really good, so they're definitely bookmarked for future use. The only place that came close to that on price was Greenman Bushcraft, whose service was excellent.
Robin, thanks for mentioning the grinding issue with Frosts, I thought it was just me. Phew. Anyway, thanks again guys, much appreciated.
