I have a motherlode in og buddy,i have probably had it now for around three years.i think at the time i paid £100 .I would say it is a well constructed pack based on the military 3 day combat pack,i am not sure i would pay this kind of money for a pack again though,i have all manner of packs from crusaders to lk70 and everthing inbetween.there has been some reviews recently on chinese made sacks very similar ,and the look well made although they dont have a water resevoir which could be bought seperately.I think i would opt for the copy versions available for a fraction of the price, the packs i mostly reach for on my outings are swedish army LK70 or the smaller version or some other army surplus pack.

I have a motherlode in Tan, and after a while of humming about the price I went out and paid the money, and now I am glad I did. I find it very stable and a good fit, but that will depend on individual size.

They are really solidly built and well thought out, with lots of internal pockets, and being fully molle compatible you can add on pouches, I find it holds enough for a long comfy winter day trek or a spartan summer day/night trek and camp on Dartmoor.

It comes with 3l resivior, so If you are happy using the resivoir to drink from (which seems to be a marmite issue around here) you can also attach water bottle pouch on the side for stream filling and tea making.

As other posts said, not a cheap choice but in my opinion I like mine.

ps, how do you post pictures of my pack in action?
