Busy mooch

Swmbo n I went for a good ol mooch today, was good to get a feel for my new to me german para mountain boots (till I get brass for me altbergs )

Picked em up for 46 quid, due to being a 10.5 and a 10 which just happened to suit my feet puirtyish good and a day on my mates boot stretcher will fine tune em
And put to use some of the knowledge n. Skills bestowed upon us at Backwoods Survival School (cheers team Backwoods :thumbup

Sue gathered some ransom seed heads for drying.

I took some Wych Elm for cordage to try with my bow drill...

Some blackthorn and Oak for a couple of projects, packsaw and throwing sticks

And practiced getting coal from my bow set... Achieved first time... Again woooo practice practice practice...

Tested a few random stones for sparks against the spine of my Hillbill

First go at willow cordage

All in all a good days mooch :thumbup:

Looks a top day out mate. Cant beat a good days mooch reaping nature's bounty. Ive been stuck in all weekend filling a skip with the contents of the back garden
