Just bought myself a pair of 'buckskin breeks' from army surplus for 50 quid. 100% soft buckskin - feels amazing. Only prob is they are white, so I have just dyed them dark brown! Came out really well. Will post pics if you like. I'm a 36 inch waist, 33 inside leg, and they fit perfectly.
Dunno what you think, but for a pair of genuine buckskin trousers, new, they seem a bit of a bargain!
