Born on 1963, the Buck 110 is a myth, without any doubt.

Here we are whit his younger brother, the Buck 110 Ecolite: similar in shape and dimensions, is different from the original 110 essentially for the materials used for the handle.
The handle is in Paperstone, a mix of paper and syntethic resins: this reduce the total wheigt of the knife to an acceptable 116 grams vs 220 grams of his older brother. Differents are also the internal liners: slimmer and smaller in front to the massive liners af the original 110. Of course, the bolsters of the original 110 disappeared at all in this version. The sheath is in cordura, simple but effective.
I tested this folder intensively for a WE: whit a great cutting capacity, light but enough robust, the Ecolite 110 is a very good slicer, both cutting food, paper, cardboard, and carving fresh wood. Great ergonomy also handling this knife, you may use it for hours and no hot spots at all. Surely is not born to the heavier tasks, but is a good choice for who is looking for a cheap folder all –around, well realized.
Regards,
Alfredo
