Bushcrafter (boy, I've got a lot to say!)
I got up today I decided to be really productive. Made hazelnut butter, and found out the root of jack by the hedge is just like wasabi. I have yet to combine these to bits of infomation and make wasabi nut butter.

Nut butter
Shell a load of nuts. Pound as fine as you can. Fry in pan for few minutes. Either pound until you reach a paste our use blender.

Jack by the hedge wasabi
Wasabi and jack by the hedge are both cabbage family and look very simerlar. Most wasabi in britian is horseradish. Wash the root very thoughly then grate with fine grater. Like proper wasabi it loses it heat within half and hour or so.

Nice :)

I had sea lettuce and saffron risotto with rock-pool prawns yesterday and I'm about to deep fry some gutweed (enteromorpha intestinalis) and rice vinegar/brown sugar it for supper.

Good fun this foraging melarky eh!!
