Was out this morning checking camp spots and access/egress for an overnight paddle, possibly with a school group, down the Larig, Loch Doine, Loch Voil, River Balvaig and Loch Lubnaig. I'll not disclose the spots, to prevent overuse and annoyance to the landowners. However, it was a cracking day, the loch was frozen at parts.

Some pics, anyone know what the fungi is ? it was not on a Birch.

I was thinking about heading up that way next week.
No idea on the fungi mate but used to go camping and fishing at Loch Voil years ago heard some big fish moving but didn't catch anything.
Last time we sat at the camp fire we had and a wee mouse come out to join us for a couple of minutes before scurrying away, must have wanted a heat.
Should be a lot quieter there than the Lubnaig, sure you'll enjoy.
