Out and About in Cowclose Wood yesterday, Gary was clearing a pathway through a birch thicket, cutting away the odd branch that was blocking the path.
Found the sap fairly gushing;

I understand they set up a few 4 pint milk bottle collectors after I left and had a good couple of pints in each after only a couple of hours.
