Can anyone set my mind at rest regarding my new Billy Can, in the instructions it said not to use the Billy Can on a gas stove.....

is is that a domestic gas stove or does it include my camping gas stoves?

Any advise would be most welcome.

What's the make and model, also what's it made from?

I wouldn't worry either ~ given the pot dimensions it's most likely a 'butt cover' thing in the event it toppled off the stove ;) .

If it's one with the plastic clips to hold the handle up they'll melt on an open flame, that's probably why. It's what happened to mine when someone grabbed it to cook their own meal without asking. Move on.

Remember that the zebra pots aren't designed for cooking in. They're metal lunch boxes basically hence the plastic clips etc.. so that's why it'll say that.

It's made of stainless so will take the heat of a gas stove easily. I prefer my tatonka 1.6, it cooks more evenly with a wider base.
