After waiting almost a year and having to endure a tie break in the final I'm pleased to say that Nice65 has won this years BcUK 2023 Photograph of the year with his entry from the January heat.

Well done, it's a stunning photograph. Your picture wins you a prize kindly donated by Tony and it will also be the banner for the BCUK Facebook page for January and you also get to nominate the theme for October next year.

Yet again I'd like to say thank you to everyone who entered photographs in the competition, without you it really would be rather a dull competition I'd also like to say thank you to everyone who votes each month as it means I don't have to struggle to select each heat winner

Wow! I’m bowled over, thank you everyone. That mist was one of those one off weather events. I was driving past Goodwood Racecourse on my right and saw the mist billowing up the hill over what we call The Trundle, an Iron Age fort on the top at Goodwood. It was like watching a huge wave break so I took a couple of pics from that side and then circled the hill in the car to where I took the picture you see.

Here are a few from the eastern side, one minute a bright 22nd Dec afternoon, suddenly dark and eerie. Last one, looking south from the western side of the hill. iPhone 12 mini camera.
