Help! Trying to remember a gig shown on bbc on xmas eve quite some time ago. It had Bellowhead, two lasses from a mining community in the NE and others. Ive never been into folk before then but got me interested as it was just plain fun gig. A bit punky too. Attitude. They were all letting hair down, dancing and bands collaborating.

Does anyone know what it was called and if there was an album/soundtrack of it?

Not bushcraft related but i reckon some on here like folkier styles of music and have long memories. It does get repeated a lot of xmas'.

I'm trying to find it to buy the music if possible.

The lasses were The Unthanks, I saw that gig too and bought a couple of their albums, have you tried youtube? BTW it was only a couple of years ago, the crowd were dressed up for the party...

Thanks for the info. Shame bbc didnt get rights to sell the music. Theyve done it with the sessions so why didnt they release this live gig? It was good. Surprised it was only 2011! Could have sworn it was 10 years, at least 4!
