Had a great, chilled out long weekend in a local woods with a mate.

Decided at short notice as the forecast was so good and glad we did, was a bit special with the bluebells and late spring bright green foliage :)

A bit of foraging resulted in some surprisingly pleasant nettle tea, some jack by the hedge, wood sorrel and wild garlic, and an amazingly tough larch log eventually yielded an amazing Swedish Candle after a lot of effort to split it !

Lots of wildlife including loads of owls (heard but not seen !), deer, pheasants, partridges and hare too which I haven't seen for a while.

Brilliant time of year to be out in the woods :)
