I've ordered some Amsteel from DDhammocks with the intention of making some continuous loops to fit through the channels on my hammock to a drip ring / carabiner.

(Whoopies and tree huggers from there, at the moment the whoopies go through the channels)

I watched this Youtube vid...

Seems pretty straightforward, I don't have any brake cable but I do have a fibreglass pole repair kit which has something similar for pulling the elastic through the poles.

If not, There's a welder guy round the corner, reckon I could get some welding rod.

Any tips for making these? Or is it that simple? he struggles with the initial pull-through, that kinda stuff

Cheers:)

I just use a copper strand from electrical wire, it doesn't need to be anything special just something that holds its shape a bit.

I've got loads if you want any

I use 2mm copper welding rod or stripped out earth from ring main cable.

The pole elastic puller will be a nightmare! ;)
