hi, i bought my third akubra a sombrero which only comes in fawn .i thought i would get one lighter coloured than bran and heather which my oyher two are, anyway when i opened the box i was kind of dissaponted to discover it is more a chocolate colour.i have emailed and asked if this was right which they said it was.in any pictures of the sombrero it looks fawn to me ,not chocolate .bush tucker mans even looks fawn ,to me the colours are like chalk and cheese. does anybody have one in fawn just to see if this is correct

no i done it myself ,don,t be scared to try this .once they are softened by steam they are very pliable and quite easy to shape .try not to wet the leather band inside or it can shrink

hi Bob the one you show is in sandstone fawn which is lighter than fawn.i just did,nt expect it to be anywhere near this kind of chocolate colour. the company said bush tucker mans is the same colour as they sent me,which of course is a load of old ********,i dont want to come across major concerned about this but i feel a wee bit conned that every single picture i have looked at of a sombrero looks fawn to me with a darker hat band and i got sent one which is chocolate with a (forgot to mention this before} black and white calf band ,which is ridiculous of course .i have had my eyes tested recently and had 20 20 vision and fawn is fawn and it will never be chocolate

I am thinking of buying an Akarbu from Australia mail order could any one please tell me what sort of extra costs are likely to be.
