Im looking for one of the old Afghan-Soviet war era chest rigs... preferably or one of the old Chi-com (Chinese communist) chest rigs.

Does anyone have either of these? If so, what are they like? Where did you get one and how much did it cost you?

Im looking for either one for carrying pellets, a preist, ammo, cigarettes, energy food, etc.

I used to have the old '44 pattern webbing set, but its a bit kinda obtrusive. The sten set up looks similar to it. There was an old kinda WW2 chest rig I saw in a book once, which looked more like a suicide vest, which I beleive was for sten mags.

The Afghan Soviet war assault vest looks quality though n fairly comftorble. Im not too bothered about reproduction models, just as long as there heavyweight canvas...bit of a fetish for that stuff.

The only place I found one was here www.rusmilitary.com/html/c-equip_vests.htm but I refuse to pay £60 for one, that I suspect is probarbly fake anyway.
