Just aquired a couple of books that seem to be of real interest to the bushcraft fraternity. The First is 'The Survival Handbook, Self-sufficiency for everyone' by Micheal Allaby. This was written in 1975 but much is the info is as current as it was back then. Contents include, finding and using land, preparing land, drainage, hedges etc. Food, growing your own, raising livestock. Textiles, spinning, dyeing, weaving (including building a loom). Building, Energy, crafts (even a guide for building a full sized clinker sailer) etc. The book touches on most subjects that we would consider for a self succicient lifestyle.
The Second book is, 'The Green Home Handbook' by Gillian Martlew and Shelley Silver. This book is more about avoiding using modern, non eco-friendly products. Growing food and what mix of plants to use to for healthier soil and pest control. Probably a bit more intense (has huge data lists on different chemicals, are what they are in and the damage they control). Should be a good read though.
Cheers
