a common flying insect, but which one?

It's sitting on the leaves of a young oak tree, (covered by tiny galls under the joint of the leaf and branch)

Now that I know it's name I can find dozens of images of the Epiphragma ocellare wing pattern, where as before I found none. Thank you, it seems from what little I can find on the fly it like wet woodland and open cow pasture, which describes where it was pictured to a tea. It
