I didn't realise i had reached the 500 milestone. So here's what i'm offering as a prize should anyone be interested. No prize for guessing it's a stick/staff. I've got a nice piece of hazel all dried, sanded and ready to be carved.

I am going to let the winner decide how he or she wants it. All up to you. I've got red deer antler, fallow antler and roe antler. Copper, brass, leather for spacers or some nice oak or mahogany. You can have it smooth, with a bark effect oiled or stained and varnished any way you like. Brass or rubber ferrule for the bottom and obviously cut to any length you want. I think i have one nice piece of red deer antler left which would make a nice "v" for the top. I will have a go at any carvings you want on it and will incorporate any wording you want or initials/names. If you need any inspiration i have a few pics of previous sticks on here, to show you the type of carvings i do.
The stick is 30mm at the top and tapers down to 22mm.
Now the question, i have a border terrier cross jack russel bitch that was mated to a pedigree border terrier dog (both mine) on the 28th of june. See pics....
The winner will be the one who gets closest, day and time, to when the first puppy is born.......good luck.
If it's any help at all, it will be her first and only litter and shes 3 years old. The dog is 14 months.
