1” x 30" Leather Stropping Belt.

Being new to Bushcraft please be a bit tolerant with me if I post in the wrong place.

My wife would like to buy me for Christmas a Clarkes belt sander which uses 1 x 30 inch belts.

I understand for sharpening knives to the ultimate edge it is advisable to obtain a leather stropping belt the same size.

My problem is that I cannot locate a leather 1 x 30 belt suitable for stropping, can anyone tell me where to get one in the UK? I live in Warwickshire.

No need to have a stropping belt for your machine.

Just use an old belt or leather glued to a flat board and do your stropping on that

I think that they are available from the states/canada, look for lee valley tools or veritas, but you don't need one though
