Car restoration is even worse than displaying knives lol. :)
I'm eight months into a twelve month car restoration, I'm currently zinc plating and yellow passivating some brackets that go under the car. Trying to explain why that's done to someone who thinks 'out of sight, out of mind' just isn't...
Perhaps I'm a bit fed up because in post one I was deliberately very very specific and asked for exact info, only to have reply after reply if people totally ignoring the post! :)
I guess it's a bit like you wanting to go fishing, needing an exact hook for a small fish etc and me suggesting that...
But what is your point?
It's safe to assume I've already seen the pic, as I have already found out as much as I could before asking on this site. I also mentioned in the first post the site that sells the kit (and they list the contents, but not the sizes)
You will have read that I already know...
Fair point, but it’s the size/length of the hooks and swivels I can’t find. None of the pics, whether from that well known blog linked to or the Dartmoorknife.co.uk website show those outside of a packet.
It’s the kind of question that could be answered in one minute from someone who has an...
Yes, I saw those.
They show the kit I already have, and listed as per the first post in the thread, but don't show the sizes of the kit I'm trying to find out.
Your question had already been answered in the first post in the thread. :)
I guess that's the issue with the internet, you post up a thread saying you want to make an original kit for 'display' then posters suggest non original parts or ask where you might use the parts :)
As per the first...
Janne.
This shows the tube in comparison to the hollow tang and handle.
For clarity.
I'm trying to get the original kit contents back together as per the initial post :)
Lots of kits had scalpel blades in around the time the Dartmoor/CSK were made.
I have never had Dartmoor instructions so don't know if they mention why a scalpel blade was included, but the number 10 blade is a very good blade for first aid or prepping small meat. The fact it would be sterile...
To add to the above.
If anyone has a kit, or just the bits I'm missing that they would sell as a reasonable price that would also be useful.
I'd also be interested in an original pommel nut with the fold out winding handle.
At the moment I only have one of the slotted ones from...
Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, but it's knife related and I figured most Dartmoor/CSK owners would be familiar with this forum :)
I am trying to built a new and complete Dartmoor knife survival kit using the exact same contents as the original kit.
I don't want to pay...

Yes you are correct. Dedicated tweezers for removing ticks have a greater angle inwards at the ends of the tweezers so they remove the whole tick and not just the body.
