These are quite cute and kitschy enough that I'm sure they might become the new garden gnome if you make enough of them! I'd love to see a garden with these tiki guys surrounding a torch in the backyard! Please continue to update us with the others that you make to join the tiki family!
That's really one amazing restoration! You did a really good job getting it all spruced up with the new handle. Here's an idea though! After reading through the comments, I had this crazy idea of what it would be like to carve into that new handle and give it a little bit of an antiqued look!
And yes I think the wood rings are amazing too! Once you get the hang of them, you could probably start mixing them up and connecting them to make other bits of art and décor! Again, please keep uploading pictures and link us to a how-to if you can!
They look like antique pieces which I have seen at museums before. I am not quite sure what their purpose is but it would definitely be very interesting to find out especially if they are indeed from medieval period.
