Hi all
Just wondering, how do people rate this course? I'm toying with the idea, but it seems a fair bit of money to shell out for a just online(?) course...? Or is there a hands on element to it now?
Cheers.
Thanks, I'll take a look at Wildstoves. Ah yes, the eBay watch list! They only ever grow...! How did you find the eco tec?
These look reasonable if I don't manage to make one: http://canoepaddler.me.uk/Products.php
Interesting page, thank you. Will have to have a think about making one next time I'm in the shed. Might be time to buy a welder too, as that would be cheaper than a stove! :lmao:
I got some at Toolstation. Think it was £4 or so for a litre. Couldn't find any cheaper, or find much at all in fact. And I don't use much of it. I see they're about £28 for 5 litres now, so maybe not that cheap?
Hi all
As the title says. What do you think is the best rocket stove? As I've already got a range of gas stoves, it needs to be (fairly) cheap, portable, tough etc. I like the idea of using wood to boil water and cook rather than gas... I like the look of the Ezy stove, but don't like the...
Thanks. Will have a look, but just out of interest, do you know if there are any restrictive conditions such as granting public access to the woodland etc. in exchange for the funding?
Hi all.
Does anyone know of a good (ideally free!) tree ID app / key for an Android OS? I use a range, but have yet to find one I'm really happy with - all seem to give varying results. Useful for confirming a species if you think you recognise it, but not so good for working out from...
I have a Coleman inflatable. Only cost £100 odd (or would have if I'd paid full price! ;)) and I've used it a few times. Wouldn't want to paddle any distance in it, it's at the mercy of the wind. It would hold a reasonable amount of weight, but it doesn't have a very deep interior - so I...
I know this is an old thread, but just wondering if you found anywhere nice Bristol Sparks? I'm in the same position as you now, would like to find somewhere nice and local ish for a night or two of rough camping with the gf... (No worries if you don't want to share your secrets, I'll just have...
I get ash and goat willow saplings popping up in my tiny garden, so you're welcome to a sapling or two if you fancy it? (Probably easier to wait for them to colonise your field, or find them locally though as I'm a bit of a way from you).
Hi all
This seems to be in my neck of the woods, so hope people won't mind if I comment here for future reference. I'm looking to buy a bit of woodland for camping etc., but no luck as yet...
Bit late to the party on this one, but would be interested to know whereabouts you ended up, if you wouldn't mind sharing? (Haven't found (m)any nice places for camping in this area...)
Thanks!
