Wood jewel puukko and leuku blades

Thanks for you post mate, I was really useful:). The trouble for me with the micro bevel, is sharpening. I use japanese waterstones but I cannot keep an angle very well, with my mora I just lay the blade flat on the big scandi bevel and I'm away. Do you think that the micro bevel will hinder...

Wood jewel puukko and leuku blades

Hi all, I have been looking at the wood jewel finnish wilderness puukko and leuku blades, does anybody have any experience with these tools. I prefer the all curly birch handled one rather than the antler version. I have also heard that some of them come with a secondary micro bevel, is this...

Planning a trip with some friends

I know that there is a similar thread open about bushcraft sites/locations in the west midlands, but I am wondering if there is anything like Dartmoor that is even remotely closer to the Worcester area. I am only just starting out and I am trying to build up my equipment, from using the list...

    Sleeping bag?

I tend to curl up into a little (very big) nugget when I'm at home, so the expander panel may well be of use.

    Sleeping bag?

Just seen the snugpak sleeper zero= 1800g, comfort=0, extreme=-7 And the snugpak sleeper extreme=2100g, comfort=-7, extreme=-12 A little compromise on weight but I will save at-least £20, which can go on a new stove:).

    Sleeping bag?

Thanks guys, The softie looks very nice and good quality. This gelert is only 1kg and the the temp stats look admirable http://www.gelert.com/products/x-treme_lite_1000_sleeping_bag plus its only £50. Despite this, I think I will probably get the softie.

    Sleeping bag?

Hello folks, I'm going to Dartmoor in August and I need a new sleeping bag to take with me. I would like a sleeping bag that would not be too hot in August but one that could keep me warm enough in spring and autumn. Does anybody have any recommendations, my budget would be about £70, is that...
