For all those members that helped me with their own advice and suggestions on different packs, I've posted a review of the one I finally bought to return the favour and help any other folk that are looking. It's titled 'Tasmanian Tiger Range Pack Review'.

It's certainly true that they're not lightweight packs and not for those that wanting to keep the kg count to a bare minimum. Considered the G82 myself but unless you really are a sniper with a weapon to boot it's probably hard to justify the extra bulk of the integrated carry system...
