I've found that if I cook it to dry (overcooked) chicken texture I don't get any problems but still left slightly more fungi texture then I do - just a slight dicky stomach. Interesting to add to a casserole - might be good like that.
Thanks for reminding me of Jupiter again - used to use them quite a lot for wildflower plants for school wildlife gardens. Always helpful and as you say the site is beautiful and very tranquil. I need to visit again as haven't been for 5 years or so. Glad to hear it is still going strong...
Old Paraig was stood looking over Castlebay in Barra. Along came his son and asks Paraig "What's wrong Dad, you look unhappy?"
Paraig replies "Och well son, do you see those houses down there by the bay there - I built everyone with my own bare hands - I placed the founds, the stone walls, the...
Really interested to see how this develops - thanks. Once found 3 dumped caravan gas bottles (the really tall orange ones) and vented them but where i was storing them dumped them thinking they had been abandoned!!! had, had the idea of making architectural chimanea for the garden - a bit more...
Many thanks for that video - nice method also.
sisel string (hairy string as we knew it at school!) when split apart looks similar and behaves similar to dried nettle strands - useful if you've forgotten to prepare some dried nettle before a demo!! :p
I don't know - looks like a man's handbag to me..... says the man who wears a 'jockfrock' and sporran!!!:)
Looks like it could be a useful kit for some of the site work I do and don't want to, but usually need to, carry my full rucsack. Those that have one - good kit? ok kit? or nice to...
There's used to be - and still might be - a brilliant old nettle shirt in the National Museum in Edinburgh which is obviously made from rhetting the fibres and spinning. rhetting does stink but is also a good fertilising liquid. Didn't see the Crannog Centre thing until too late - looks great...
Aye the midges around Loch Lomond and the Trossachs are really bad - but this year some are saying it's the worst for many years - probably the good combination of good weather then a couple of weeks of wet then good weather again. But if you wear a kilt you definately don't want midges around...
For those of you waiting for your tea to brew or need to get some sleep urgently then the follow document isn't full of jokes but quite interesting in that they have compared various woodstoves for their clean burn, amount of wood used etc. Most are bigger than camping stove size but it does...
Thanks for the video - good effort. I have the same stove and at first had a wee struggle with it but if you follow your way of feeding the wood and other advice then it works a real treat. I love this stove now - even more than the 'easier' gas stoves. And (I think like you) am fascinated how...
Because the nut is a storage tuber for the plant then it is findable all year round (but of course new plants do need to build up the reserves that have been used over winter ) so would probably wait a bit otherwise will more likely be a futile exercise. Often find them easily in ancient or...
