    Been to Ontario and British Columbia Canada, both woodland environments, latter had lots of bugs, both excellent places to visit for campers 'bushcrafters'??? Also been to Australia and New Zealand, Tasmania in the former should be visited by anyone who's remotely interested in remote places...

    Been through the stage of Salomon (Gucci) boots with gortex liners, blah, blah, soon found out that if it's seriously wet (rivers, puddles) just accept the inevitable, Bought some German para's with dubbin to keep out the 'damp'.

    No such thing as 'speed lacing' with a ladder system!! but i'm not a fireman so no worries there. Don't know about you but speed lacing system always slips/adjusts to the terrain, even with the locking cleats on the ankle i always find the the shin get tight and the area around the foot gets...

    It depends on what your hoping/thinking your water 'filter' is going to do, waters filter can be used at home!! to give your tap water a 'softer' feel, but if you're thinking they're going to filter out bugs/germs they won't/don't. Depending on where you getting your drinking water supply from...

    I knew another lady from south Wales who use to go out in the wind and gales she used a wind stopper jacket zipped up tight that she got in New Zealand (where sheep don't sleep at night!) zipped up tight it showed her DD glory how do i know DD? that's another story.

    Bit difficult to see with that pic, are they stitch on soles? most of the differences i think evolve around the lacing system, if they're stitch on soles they could be mk4 but i wouldn't put money on it. Well not my money!

    Ordered some off ebay and they arrived fast, notice different lace system to mk 7 on page 1, these were advertised as mk5 supergrades and bought them from ibiziana on ebay Heals, horn hook etc look identical to mk 7

    They look like a great pair of boots, it's a pity i found this thread about 1 year to late! Endicotts are sold out! Used to have a pair of para boots about 15 years ago not sure what mk they were but had know foam protection around the top like these. Been getting into fishing a lot again...
