How to gather water from a trickle stream?

I don't know if it would be preferable in your situation, you asked for ideas and I gave you one. Gypsy wells are a known way to collect water.

How to gather water from a trickle stream?

You could dig a gypsy well beside the stream, and allow it to fill naturally. The water also gets a degree of filtering too.

    Dutch canteen cup (systems)?

Ten seconds of googling produced this. No stoves. https://poolssurplus.co.uk/products/dutch-army-surplus-water-bottle-pouch-cup-military-canteen-set-long-pouch (Edited to add) https://goarmy.co.uk/products/dutch-army-esbit-stove

    Dutch canteen cup (systems)?

From what I remember of the discussion, the best solution to the lack of stove, was to modify a second dutch mug to use as a stove. Mug sits in stove, USGI/ Nalgene water bottle sits in mug and all fit in the US pouch.
