    Becker BK2 Mod

Hi, Love that mod. I've been a lurker over on the Becker sub-forum for quite some time now, really enjoy your input and glad to see you posting here too. I bought a BK2 sometime last year , shelved it (far too heavy) but then decided to strip it and just went a bit dippy over it, fantastic...

Looking for a new place to go.....

Hello everyone, I'm looking for somewhere new to hang a tarp and carve a few small sticks for burning, I live in Ilminster, Somerset and happy to travel anywhere within Somerset, Dorset and Devon also. If anyone has any recommendations for pay'n'play bushcraft sites I'd be very very grateful...

    Portable frying pan, no handle

Hi Badger, Not sure if the Paderno comes with a grip or not but yes a baking tray would do the job. Cheers, Dave.

    Portable frying pan, no handle

Hi, I know this isn't exactly what you're asking for but I've been considering getting one of these - www.bensbackwoods.com/servlet/Detail?no=644 Just a thought.. Dave.

    evening chaps, need some help....

From the research I've done I think the MK1 with stacked leather is only available to dealers through Blue Ridge knives (distributor/wholesaler) and was due to be released stateside about nowish. Might help explain this particular model's lack of general availability. Dave.

I have a Ka Bar Problem!

Hi Xunil, Yes, please. The s/l version isn't available yet as far as I can work out but it would be great to know who intends stocking them over here. Although I have bought from US websites I prefer buying from UK sites both for simplicity's sake and to encourage our distributor/dealership...

SHMBO gave me this a couple of weeks ago.

Hi, I bought the standard version last year and use it all the time, it's great! I'd recommend it to anyone. Dave.

I have a Ka Bar Problem!

Looks like just the job! I've read through the Bladeforum thread and I'm hoping that a UK dealer will (eventually) stock the stacked leather version as it seems only available through Blue Ridge knives. At less than $50 (Kraton handle version) I think they'll sell bucketloads of these knives...

    Duluth Pathfinder pack

Looks like a good 'weekender' sized pack, price is a lot more reasonable than the Bushcrafter pack too. www.duluthpack.com/outdoor-gear/camping-hiking-gear/packs/daypacks-backpacks/packfinder-pack.html Dave.

I have a Ka Bar Problem!

Hi Santaman2000, I couldn't agree more, I go to the woods for lots of reasons, carving spoons is still yet to be one of them. I bought some flexcuts for carving anyway so if I do choose to carve anything, I'll take them with me. I must say I always thought 'bushcraft' was a just a simple term...

I have a Ka Bar Problem!

Hi Steffen, I've just sent them an outline of the suggestion, let's hope they at least give it some thought. Dave.

I have a Ka Bar Problem!

Hi Steffen, Thanks for the reply, I think I just need help balancing between 'need' and 'want'! My post wasn't mean't to be taken too seriously, I was just ranting over my own daft attitude towards knives, I have a Fallkniven S1 which covers all my needs admirably so the Ka bar will be just a...

I have a Ka Bar Problem!

Think I need some help....! Having read a couple of threads damning and supporting the illustrious Ka bar USMC knife, I am now completely obsessed with buying one.....! Thanks to all contributors that made this happen....! Yep, I know it's supposedly only good for st*bbing innocent sheeple...

PLCE NI - realistic carry load?

Hi, Thanks everyone, it seems a 60+ ltr is the sensible way to go. I am going to a couple of surplus shops on Friday to see if I can find a Sting or similar for the budget I have. I think I was (perhaps wrongly) hoping I could take less and use a smaller bag but if the NI pack main section...

PLCE NI - realistic carry load?

Hi, thanks for the replies. I'll look further into the Swedish army back pack although not so keen on the external frame. with regard to spare clothing it will consist of a spare set of underwear, shirt and trousers, lightweight and 'packable'. Not so sure about the sleeping bag, can't really...

PLCE NI - realistic carry load?

Hi folks, I'm trying to decide which pack I'd like for a chrimbo from my family and I'm considering the PLCE NI Patrol Pack. Now, I intend to only hike & camp out for 2 nights at a time (any longer and I'll probably be car camping) so my question is, would the NI patrol pack realistically hold...
