Another vote for the Casstrom Lars Falt. I have couple of tbs boars too but prefer the handle shape of the casstrom more. I also really like my Michael May antler handled Barlow.
Another vote for Outdoor Knitwear. I have one of their 1945s and just got one of their erebus boat neck pullovers. Very reasonably priced considering the quality.
You'll be pleased with it. The 200 is excellent. I find it far more practical and nimble compared to the 240.
I don't need any of the knives but the kydex sheaths they are doing look interesting.
Just a heads up, Varusteleka have found a courier who will ship knives to the UK. So if any of you were after one of their excellent tools but couldn't get hold of one for the last year or two...
If it's under £135 before VAT they can ship from the EU as before brexit, if it's over UK customs handle the VAT charge which will mean the usual rip off "handling fees" from carriers.
Alox farmer recently. Although I use a Boker plus XS at work as the one handed opening is pretty useful, and If I pop out to the shops with it in my pocket it's still a UK legal carry.
I'm keeping mine full length as my camping knife, the slightly longer blade being better for food prep and giving me legitimate cause to carry while still looking inoffensive.
It's a substantial stick tang that extends out of the rear of the handle to form the distinctive loop. I'm thinking remove the loop and forge out the tang a bit, the handle already being quite generous in length. The beefy tang should give support to the leather. Think Kabar rather than Mora.
The GAKs are great, I have a great condition Victorinox one but the actual cutting edge of the saw blade is less than on an alox farmer. With the added disadvantage of being on the edge of UK legal (depending how you measure it).
I've one on the way. I already have a standard one that I've always fancied rehandling but I don't mind messing one up for under £20. I do like the standard rubber grip but I like the idea of stacked leather.
