Is it stitched so that the inside face of the leather is on the other side, like the newer Fallkniven sheaths? I like that they have done that, so you can add a bit of compound and use it as a strop - it becomes a one-stop sharpening shop.

I suppose it depends, but my set up (as per Uncle Ray) is 800, 1200, 6000. I do usually go up to 6000, as I like that sharpness for carving, etc. Back to topic, I suppose this in part explains the difference in opinion: if you are looking for quick and functional sharpness on a knife normally...

I only carry the CC4. Unless you are beating the hell out of your knife and wish to aggressively reprofile the bevel while in the woods, there really is no need for a pocket diamond sharpener.

I have a Country Innovations double ventile jacket (the Rover II), and it has never let me down in the rain yet. Like @John Fenna, I pair it with wool underneath. For bushcraft, infinitely prefer this over any other solution I have ever tried.
