    What are you currently reading?

That is one of the things the author uses it to remember birds and other things. Plus she is slowly building more information on that. If you have University access you can read her PhD thesis which is Memory Code and then buy Memory Craft which is the follow on book and more about her memory...

    Orange is the New Black

Yeah that could be why they are changing it as pilots see blue better maybe. I think pink would actually register more to me however I have yet to find a colour guyline which I cannot trip over. It would be interesting to know if they did something similar in the past like. A lot of outdoor...

    PhD - Bushcraft Research

Sorry Paul I thought that was happening. "Areas that I am researching include the ways in which bushcraft presents the natural world to participants." I might be wrong however I think Bushcrafters in the loosest terms possible are trying to see the world in the same way as indigenous peoples. I...

    Water Bottle/Canteen obsession.

I think it would end up being Bushcraft Kit Anonymous! When I start listing some types of kit it does get ridiculous. I think all kit is like that and a lot of it follows fashion like trends rather than functionality. So far the only thing that has lived up to the hype is my Trangia. I am going...

Is a psk really needed in the UK?

Lol that was one of my big problem with them and that when I needed something in one I had forgot I used it. I would echo what has been said about our wonderful climate in that you just never know what you are going to get. I have seen flooding rain in June, gales in February and snow in April...

    Losing Weight!

Slow Carb diet from Tim Ferriss' book 4 Hour Body. Really works. I would ignore or investigate further the vitamins he advises however the diet really works. It also worth looking at the Fast 5:2 diet.

    PhD - Bushcraft Research

Is not experimental archaeology already doing this? I would really recommend Dr Lynne Kelly's thesis which is basically the book Memory Code as it at least will give you a scope for how much knowledge needs reconstructing. Not so much, the Romans killed the Druids who were more than likely the...

    PhD - Bushcraft Research

Ok, I am deeply confused at the moment. What we call Bushcraft is what was done before writing. We are trying to work out how they did things with a lot more scope than anyone in an academic setting so we may get answers just not the right ones. Memory Code is about a woman's experience walking...

    What are you currently reading?

Six months of cycling classes produce changes in DNA methylation patterns of adipose tissue relevant for type 2 diabetes and obesity When mothers were more interactive with their infant during a play activity, epigenetic changes occurred in the infant's DNA. Changing Our DNA through Mind...

    What are you currently reading?

There is some research saying that your actions can change your DNA. That said check out Dr Rhonda Patrick for the latest in what works or does not. Did you see the news article about Blue Zone Okinawa and how they might fall out of that status. The reason.... they built a McDonalds on the island.

Buy once/ last a lifetime / indestructible clothing

I worn them as my daily casual wear so every day for years and every pair went on the cross under the groin. Apart from that they were bomb proof. It like groceries staying the same price however the pack is getting smaller. Any way they can save money and take more of ours.

    Orange is the New Black

If I remember right it was something to do with pilots and they were changing it for that reason.

    Orange is the New Black

There is a big thing in the past that no one is really sure what groups meant when they used certain colours.

    Orange is the New Black

That is a really good colour for an emergency blue. It is called United Nations Blue and it is Pantone 2925. It used to be Pantone 279.

I really like Blackie Thomas' lid mod of adding a pocket in his case of orange material.
