That looks and sounds to be excellent. Great stuff. It probably needs a separate forum thread. I know that you wanted a period correct smock, but would you not have preferred a modified version with adjustable ventilation (if you are going to use it whilst being very active?)?

I have now taken in the elasticated waist a bit so the waist is no longer huge for me. The sizing of these trousers is quite unusual. Then again, many people have a big waist nowadays and probably don't have big leg muscles.

They will need to be more like bludgeons and carefully locked away and tamper-proof.
