Branded Waterproof jackets - Worth the money?

Interesting - I literally told the shop owner "I need something that will keep me dry when I'm working hard outdoors without getting all sweaty and it doesn't need to be warm"

Branded Waterproof jackets - Worth the money?

what's the consensus on Ridgeline nowadays? just popped into a local shop and the owner was raving about the Monsoon Classic smock... I'm not 100% about a smock as I feel it might be a faff getting it on and off, but it felt pretty comfortable once it was on and not crazy expensive at £150...

Branded Waterproof jackets - Worth the money?

Yeah I've been looking at the Keela gear as well - I have their heritage trousers which I really like. And your point about yearly cost is spot on.

Branded Waterproof jackets - Worth the money?

Anyone got any thoughts on Fortis jackets? They look pretty decent and are, apparently, tough, although the only review I can find says they are sweaty… they’re also made not that far from me… Country Innovations look good too - the woodlark jacket perhaps? both brands are pricey but if...

Berghaus Munro? Sabre 30? Cuillin 2? So many daypacks...

Thanks for the detailed response Erbswurst - I realise I make it sound a bit like I'm after the 'goldilocks' bag, but my main need is for the college course/volunteering/future work use - by 'walking trip' I just mean a dayhike and I concede that it might be ambitious for me to use a daypack for...

Berghaus Munro? Sabre 30? Cuillin 2? So many daypacks...

Hi all, Sorry for the total newbie question but I'm really struggling to decide on a daypack at the moment... I've just started a Land & Wildlife Management college course (changing career at 37!) and I'm doing lots of volunteering for Woodland Trust, National Trust etc etc, as well as looking...
