Yes only sweet chestnuts can be eaten, not the conkers (horse chestnuts) - my daughter and I have found larger than expected sweet chestnuts (no photo as eaten) and massive conkers (photo available as not eaten) Do not eat horse chestnuts (conkers) as they are poisonous
