The strings are not expensive and would make a nice bow to go roving, you maybe able to adjust the poundage. I had a compound which was tuned down to 35lbs with the cams was so light to shoot, regret giving it to my brother!

You could contact a local club or retailer and have a new string fitted onto the cams, a bit of googlefu would help there. Not sure where you live to help, seem a hot place from the description!
