The bowl is made from a random round of Ash ... basically re-purposed firewood - I still have the other, larger, "half" to play with for my next turning project :) This wood turning thing seems a bit addictive!

Neither I nor my wife like broad beans - and if she does not like any kind of food it does not appear on the menu anyway! She does however treat me to/with St John's Wort pills - which work well for me....

Ah - but not all wood is for burning .... our little gang have a shaving horse and (soon to be finished ) pole lathe on one of the sites we use ... try feeding them without an ax!

A lot of the wood we harvest for firewood is too big to baton through ... a hatchet if not a full blown ax is essential at the sites we use!
