    Your picture of the day...

No way. That’s a brilliant picture. Funny that they can’t go down trees. Only up. They have to fly down to the next tree to go up. Lovely little dickies.

    What are you currently reading?

I have found this. We have better things now like mega powered flashlights and amazing thermal imaging. But it still has good information.

Thankyou, but I still need to think carefully. It is a long commitment so I need to take care and think it through a lot.

Rabbit entrails - who's the culprit?

It looks like a rodent but there is no scale for me to properly be seeing . So I am to be assuming it is a wood mouse or vole. Or a brown rat if it’s a larger lump. I think it could be a fox as the doer of the deed. Or it could very well be a buzzard. Domestic cat or stoat could as well...

    Cats

Thankyou all peoples. Madly I got more decent information off you lot than I did on the cat forums. Persian or Ragdoll seems the way to go. And I hear you Chris when you say mention the squished nose debacle. But Clive was do cute and adorable with his little grumpy face. He had no issues...

Clive, our Persian would never attack wildlife. We had a free range budgie that lived in a bamboo tree in the living room and had his water and seeds on the tray next to Clive’s and they got along great. Sometimes the budgie would bath in Clive’s water and he’d just watch with mild disgust. It...

We had rescue horses as well. Much easier than rescue cats. M&S were very affectionate. But it was like living with two road runners that enjoyed breaking stuff just to be dicks.

Marmaduke and Shnoopsy were tuxedo cats and they were as mad as all things. I don’t want to go down the rescue cat route again as it’s upsetting having to let them go. Even if they were crazy. I want to start with a kitten.

They aren’t snuggly cats though. And too independent. I would like one a bit more affectionate than that. And a load of cat hairs as well going on all the time. Laughing Gravy is one of those and we hardly ever see him.

Thank you Toddy. I will be OK. I have loads of things to be up to. And dad retired early this week as well. So he isnt going to get killed by any snakes or dodgy people when travelling to work now. I will nause him about all things.

I lost my mom recently and I should have asked her so many things. How to be. She was smart. Off the scales smart. And it’s all lost now. Everyone finds this out. But we all think we have loads of time. We don’t. Time runs out. Fast.

Does anybody have a knowledge of cat breeds. I adopted two rescue cats before Christmas. But they were crazy. And the owners turned up recently. So they’ve gone home now to destroy their old house. I want a nice placid breed. One that doesn’t go out and kill everything and prefers home...

This is it. You are not the only one doing it. There are loads of us. I was brought up doing it. Most women on here, if not all of them do the exact same thing. It’s kind of taken as the norm on a bushcraft forum that we do. I spend most of my nights in the woods looking at stuff and...

It’s disappointing that no one has had to fight a bear yet. I was very hopeful on that polar bear series. Big disappointments indeed :ar15:

Some of those look lovely. And it’ll be Christmas soon. I like the antler ones.

Bushcraft is great. Hurrah. And this Wales thing looks like fake news to me. Not even Alone with their big production gives out a million.

I think that most women are independent now. Men don’t care and in my experience it’s just normal and accepted by them. But if you keep on squeeking all about it constantly then you are going to get push back. Just do it and not talk about it and all will be good. It’s not doing us any...

What wildlife did you spot today?

Badgers usually leave wasps nests until they are at their most full and productive peak. Which is August. They find them earlier in the year, but generally wait for this time. It is when the adults are normally at their biggest as well, and the grubs prolific. They are still small very this...
