Shorts ant t-shirt.... Well I am in Saudi. :D Seriously though, I've got a M65 jacket that gets broken out in winter for the mornings (It actually does get cold here sometimes), and a fleece lined waistcoat from B&Q. Back in the UK, it's a down filled bodywarmer. very light, very cosy.

Heinnie had mine out in Saudi inside a week, you just don't get better than that.

Pathfinder sells the kit in a decent looking shoulder bag. There are two different lids available too, one with holes, one without. I could spend serious amounts of cash in that shop....... :D

I got mine fron Heinnie, although you can get them directly from Pathfinder or Canteenshop.

I don't know, My Crusader Cup is in the UK. I'm planning to give it a good road test when I'm on holiday next month. I'm very impressed so far.

I'm on the other side of the country, but yes, if you go a few miles inland the humidity drops significantly.

In high summer it can get to 50+ with 100% humidity, The area I'm in was officially the hottest place on the planet for perceived temperature a few years ago.

Wait until it gets into the mid to high forties with high humidity, after a day of that I'm like a used dishtrag.....

I have one, it's ok for occasional use, which is what it's designed for, it'd probably be ok of around camp, but it has very little throw to the light as there is no reflector. I keep mine in my first aid kit these days.

Conversely, in my experience, my candle lantern (An UCO lantern) gives out enough heat to make a significant difference in a tent. I've used it in winter in Scotland, and it definitely made an appreciable difference. The tent was a Wynnster firefly 2 (as I recall)

There is absolutely no bounce in an old tyre sidewall. It's probably safer than just having a chopping block.

Opinions are mixed, but most people I know who have handled/used one are fairly impressed. There is a pretty extensive review on the knife on BCUK somewhere, which was quite positive.
