    Pocket knife availability in UK.

I do, had a couple of torches from the BudgetLightForum guys no problem at all. I know your knives and none are ambiguous like flippers or large blades, it would just depend on the postage from Canada. I know when I looked into sending the little Real Steel Iris to Greg that the cost was...

Best Concerts Youve Ever Been Too

Probably the most influential was Hawkwind at Stonehenge in 1984. I was a bit out of it and Nik came on stage wearing a weird flesh coloured onesie type thing sporting a blue Mohican horn of hair. Spent the whole time thinking he was naked. I blame the bloke dishing out mushroom cider to...

    Your picture of the day...

‘Tis. Usually I see one or two, then maybe another a way off, on the chalky Downland around here. But these are under some young trees in a huge group.

    Your picture of the day...

Never seen so many of these in a group. Several 'Pics of the Day'. Full of little Beau Peeps :)

    Pocket knife availability in UK.

I’ve ordered many knives from outside the UK, it’s only flippers I worry about, and even they come through. Nothing from China has attracted any duty or fees, or been held back.

Enjoyed this guys adventure on abandoned rail tracks. His ‘this’ll do’ approach to kit is refreshing.

Grill recommendations for a Zebra pot

Happens to me sometimes. Logging out and back in by retyping the www. rather than logging in from a saved link has worked, so has clearing the cache on my browser.

In Praise of the Svord Mini

Found a pink handled one amongst my knives the other day. May be time for a resurgence:)

    Dyeing a Tilley Wanderer T3?

AI overview says it's 100% cotton duck canvas. I could just about read 'polyester' on one of the frayed labels, but maybe that's the internal pocket bit. So, it should take dye, but doesn't

    Pocket knife availability in UK.

Does it have to be UK stocked? I buy direct from various companies. I’m on my phone so can’t link to all the sites but: Kizer Petrified Fish Real Steel Civivi Miguron All produce some really exceptional and well made budget knives. A £35 Petrified Fish will shock you with how well made it is.

    Coping with the heat.

Been sleeping under a Sungpak Jungle blanket the last week and it's chilly enough I've just thrown a blanket over the top rather than try and fight with a duvet cover at midnight.

    Dyeing a Tilley Wanderer T3?

Hello Dave :) It has. Though the idea was to darken it to accompany a Barbour Dunnon in black/dark grey. The Dunnon is a nice jacket but has a narrow collar, no pop studs on it. A bit more research into the Tilley and it looks like it's a polyester material, hence the colour not taking. I...

    Dyeing a Tilley Wanderer T3?

Well, don’t. It can’t be done :D Bought a sachet of Dylon hand wash dye in grey, the hat was a very faded green. Followed the instructions, but it’s not my first Dylon sesh so I’m pretty familiar. Wash, leave damp etc Hat dried with zero difference, a bit of grey showing but nothing has bonded...

    Eggs,

All the emojis below the first two sections do it, it never got fixed.

    I, Robot , I Soldier.

I wouldn’t know, I apply to pads and discs, sparingly. And my 2006 Toyota hasn’t needed a belt replacement yet, but it does have a laptop input

    I, Robot , I Soldier.

That's actually a common fix. The pads are under such immense pressure that braking isn't affected. There are high temp greases specifically for this. Bit of light oil sprayed onto squeaky belts also works well.

    Eggs,

When they stop flying blueberries from Peru and strawberries from Morocco on a daily basis then I might start to believe they’re committed to environmental causes.

    Eggs,

Paper straws and brown eggs aren’t going to save the world. Sainsbury’s have little interest either, it’s just advertising and virtue signalling. As mentioned, there’s likely a financial reason too.
