    Carnation Condensed Milk

I see Carnation do a caramel version now. There are 3 types in our Sainsbury’s Local, but I think one was evap.

    What did you buy today?

Spyderco Mantra 4. First Spydie in many years that caught my eye. And it's relatively cheap.

    Ridgeline Monsoon Jacket?

Exactly, designed for sitting on a quad in horrible weather counting sheep. People have been misunderstanding this since day one with Ridgeline.

Ulvgart's Crafting Corner (DIY, Slöjd, and Traditional Crafts)

That was great, really enjoyed it. I love all those symbols, runic and Wiccan, they stir the primal spirit.

    Verifying browser and redirecting?

I have it going in from my saved link. If you reply in the thread in blue it stats blue with small font. Only clicking to a different page and it pops up green. I thought we had a button for some page colour options and a dark mode, maybe that was pre-update? Dark mode would be very handy.

    Holes in my Tilly Hat

To be honest my one doesn’t get washed often, the sweat stains are there to stay. Once in a while I bung it in the machine as per…

    Medicine shortages

I’d thought that there were insulin shortages or overpricing in the US? People rationing their doses?

    Hi From the UK

Hi Jon, this won’t be a great help I guess but Moon rings a bell. Pun intended :) He was an old guy from Devon or Cornwall, I think he made knives and sold them way too cheap? Not sure he was a well man, or had an accident (nearly cut his thumb off?) All just vague memories. Ragged old tattoos...

    Coping with the heat.

I think your over reading thermometer has come up before during a hot period when your garden was technically the hottest in the land :D Well done for checking the neighbour! Both my parents are terrible for not drinking water, the ‘cup of tea’ generation. I went round today with a few lemons...

    Holes in my Tilly Hat

That’s excellent news, and excellent customer service :) T3 Wanderer is nicely distressed from new, mine has got better with age and sports a few holes and wear marks.

Hurrah! A joyful thing is the arrival, unpacking, and hefting of your Skrama.

    Coping with the heat.

Phew, that's harsh. We're getting mid 30's in West Sussex and that's more than hot enough. I've been out and cut a couple of long hazel poles, tied them in a big arch in the garden, and added a 10 nozzle irrigation misting system. Lovely cooling mist blowing about. Genius :D...

For Sale Royal Mail Age Verified - 'How to' guide

Well, I found this service worked well, simple to use and very straightforward. So they broke it  Nowhere on the site can I find an Age Verified postage option.

What might have killed this fox cub?

Did you examine it Chris? If there was a ruckus, it may well have been a badger. But the positioning of the cub looks more like it was tossed there rather than died in battle. If there was a road nearby, that's exactly what I'd assume. As an afterthought, nothing makes crows and magpies clamour...

Horse flies: what are they for?

I have just come back from camping in the van, and something about the grey of the van and awning attracts hundreds of them. These were the giant bovine flies, and though they're a pest to have around, they don't like human blood. Deer horsefies, and the regular horseflies are a different...

    What did you buy today?

Next week for us with temps in the late 20's and maybe 30° on Monday, you're looking a fair bit cooler in Somerset. Post today was a quarter each of lemon sherbets, strawberry sherbets, and soor plooms from Saltire Candy. Nice, but boring lemon sherbets again. These had sherbet, but not good...
