Great bits of kit, and surprisingly warm for the size and thickness. I always pop one in my pack just in case. I also use one under my cycling helmet for the chilly spring/autumn commutes.

I have central heating but I'm too cheap to put it on. I also hate sleeping in a warm bedroom, gives me a headache. I sleep hot but if it's really cold I use a wool slouchy hat. It's too big for me so it doesn't fit too tightly and get uncomfortable, and I can pull it down over my ears.

You can't go wrong with the standard stainless steel pathfinder bushpot. I much prefer it to the zebra pots. Just let the outside blacken up over the fire.

They're not the best but when they are free and abundant... I usually only pick the unopened ones and dry them, then just add them to stews and such. I managed to find another five ceps today too. I always take a weeks holiday in October to forage and enjoy the outdoors and I've lucked out...

The parasols have been great around my way this year and I've lucked out on the ceps too. I usually find one or two that are too far gone to pick but this year I've had a kilo! Parasols dry pretty well.

Thanks for this link, I was after an army jumper that wasn't wool mix. Just had a 1945 delivered and the label read made in England.

Nice that Snugpak clearly show which products are UK made. Ventile is now owned by a Swiss company. No idea where the fabric is made. Hilltrek are made in Scotland, and the Bison Bushcraft stuff is UK made, although neither company could be considered large.
