Yup. Yours should have it. You'll see it inside with the blade out the way.

'Razor sharp out of the box'

Does seem strange, an Opi with no edge! Might have been one of those display models some companies use? Or a maybe a trainer for the tactical shroomer?

'Razor sharp out of the box'

What's the purpose of a specific mushroom knife though? I've seen them but never thought much about their use.

'Razor sharp out of the box'

Nope, not just bad luck, most knives don't come as sharp as they should for sure, although you shouldn't have to pay a high price to find a gud'n. All the Joker folders I've bought (4) have had excellent edges and the Manly Wasp I got was ridiculously sharp. Victorinox are usually good and...

Lower volume, outdoor brand rucksack with a long back length - 20-25 litre to fit a 196cm / 6'5" tall person??

My son is 6'6 and finds the Osprey Talon 33 comfortable, as do i (although they are older models, not sure what they're like now) and they are reasonably lightweight so no penalty if carrying less than capacity. Probably not what you're looking for but for day hikes with the family, we all use...

    Lyme disease vaccine getting nearer

Only had ticks bite twice in my life, both times in the Highlands. First time there were 3 on me, one behind my knee, another near my navel and the last but definitely not least near my armpit! Removed them and took the GPs advice to wait and see if I get the bullseye! Lucky me, I got one! 3...

In that case the only option would be to buy on arrival and cheap but usable for me, and relatively easy to find, would be Hultafors or Opinel if you want folding. Whoever you gave them to when you left would have something worth carrying as a gift too. You can substitute Mora/Marttiini for the...

Outdoor Edge Sidewinder might do the trick. Remove the blade for travel, use it as a key fob then buy a blade for it at your destination.

SAKs aren't exactly expensive anyway but buying used would help. Sanrenmu used to make some decent quality folders with other tools built in, like a SAK, for very little cost. Probably need to buy used now though, and more than likely for more than they cost new. There's always the Amzn...
